    About Block

    Murarai - II Development Block is the northernmost Block of the District Birbhum of West Bengal with its Head Quarter situated at Paikar under Paikar Police Station, Birbhum. 

    To the extreme North-East of this Block the neighbouring district Murshidabad is having 57 Suti Assembly Constituency & 58 Jangipur Assembly Constituency and to its South is Nalhati -II Block under 292 Hansan Assembly Constituency, and in the West is Murarai - I Dev. Block under 294 Murarai Assembly Constituency.

    This Block comprises of 9(nine) Gram Panchayats [Rudranagar, Kushmore - I , Kushmore - II, Amdole,  Nandigram, Jajigram,  Paikar - I, Paikar - II & Mitrapur] with 72 Mouzas having Population of 2 , 22 , 076 as per the Population Census 2011 [2 , 22 , 076, Census 2011]
