    Drinking Water System by Solar Submersible & Overhead Tank at Kurmitha Village by BatikarGP from PBG-IBRD Fund (2022)

    INTRODUCTION :

    The ground level water of the Kurmitha village is very low. The area suffers from scarcity of Drinking Water specially in the summer.Many tubewells became dry during that time. So the women have to go to a distance for the drinking water. The Kurmitha Bus stand I a important junction for the locality. Many villages depend on the Kurmitha Bus Stand for their journey towards Siuri, Dubrajpur and Bolpur.The passenger have to wait at Kurmitha Bus stand. In the Gram Sansad level meeting the said scheme was discussed for implementation. So the GP included in the Supplementary action plan of PBG_IBRD of 2021-22.

    BACKGROUND :

    After the inclusion of the said scheme , the supplementary action plan was forwarded to the District Panchayat and Rural Development Office for approval. The said scheme was approved.

    PURPOSE :

    To provide fresh drinking water to the locality. It will provide drinking water to the people of that locality. In the otherhand it will boost women empowerment .
