    Chatra Gram Panchayat is located at Sohara village under Murarai-I Dev. Block.It consist of 16 number of villages and sansad 15 nos and 2 nos Panchayat Samity, It is sorrounded by 73 sqkm area.Total Population of the GP is 23781 The ratio of male and female population is 51:49 (2011 census) Total number of family -8109, total number of Primary school 13, SSK-03, MSK-02 Uper Primary School-03, High School-03, ICDS 25, Sub-Centre 03, SHG- 517, Madrasa 02, Hand pump 253, Solar Pump 04. The Villagers of this GP mainly depend on agriculture and aslo many small cottage industries developed here like Bidi, Bakkery, Bamboo etc. The natural environment of the Panchayat is so beautiful.
