Rampurhat II CD Block has an area of 181.55 km2. It has 1 panchayat samity, 9 gram panchayats, 95 gram sansads (village councils), 94 mouzas and 91 inhabited villages. Margram Police Station and Tarapith Police Station serves this block.[8] Headquarters of this CD Block is at Margram.[9]

INTRODUCTION :
Construction of Patient Parties Night Shelter at very low cost, under Rs.2 Lac, having Superior Architectural Appearance.
BACKGROUND :
An amount of Rs.2 Lac was allotted by Health & Family Welfare Dept, Govt. of West Bengal, for construction of night shelter for patient parties in BPHC.
PURPOSE :
To provide safe shelter to patient parties during night time within the BPHC premises for their staying and waiting.
DESCRIPTION :
Though the structure of the building is small about 4.10mx3.20m (141 sq.ft.), but it is an Iconic Construction in terms of Engineering and Architectural skills employed into it to come up with Structurally Stable and Astonishing Appearance within tight with budgetary constraints.
Following are the some key features:
i) Completely RCC Framed Structure.
ii)105sq.ft. of clear floor area to stay.
iii) 3.60m (12') long slab used for both seating and sleeping.
iv) Bigger and partially openable fully glazed windows for increasing Natural Lighting within building, providing better Aesthetics by embracing Curved Beam.
v) Incorporation of Four-Way Pitched Roof for superior appearance and at the same time No Stagnation of Water hence No Roof Damage.
vi) Very Low Cost.
BENIFIT :
i) Safe shelter to stay at night for the patient parties.
ii) RCC Framed Structured to provide saftey during natural calamities.
iii) Aesthetically Iconic, hence improving titavation of the vicinity and pecreption of Govt. Projects amongst public at large.
FUTURE VISION :
To comeup with similar shelter at all Health Centres having probability of staying at night. Make it as MODEL Work and improving further the model if budgetary provision for this work can be increased.
CONCLUSION :
The said Night Shelter for Patient Parties even though is Very Low Cost project but the Challenge it given in terms of Engineering Design & Planning Optimization and to come up with something which is beyond Conventional type is a SIGNATURE WORK in its Truest Sense.
