About Gram Panchayat

Bhurkuna Gram Panchayat is one of the largest GP of SURI-I DEV. BLOCK under SURI SUB-DIVISION. It is located from 10 Km far from SURI-I DEV BLOCK and 12 Km from SUB- DIVISIONAL OFFICE. Total area of the Gram Panchayat is about 7330.18 acre. It has 11 Nos sansad along with 11 Nos elected members. Total population of the GP is about 17410(Male-9078, Female-8331) and total household is 4330.It shares its boundary with another two Dev. Block like DUBRAJPUR and SURI-II. In the East Koma GP(Under Suri-II Dev Block), in West Parulia GP(Under Dubrajpur Block), in North Mallickpur GP and in South Chinpai GP(Under Dubrajpur Block).Bakreswar river is the major river of the GP area . It has 28 Nos ICDS, 17 Nos Primary School, 5 Nos SSK, and 3 Nos High Secondary School, 2 Nos Primary Health Centre, 3 Nos Post Office and 4 Nos Bank. Different kind of Melas and religious activity took place in this GP area.

The GP has the goal to Maintenance and construction of water resources, roads, drainage, School buildings and CPR (common property resources). Levy and collect local taxes. Execute government schemes related to employment.

Construction of Rural Hat at Kachujore with in Bhurkuna Gram Panchayat (2020)

INTRODUCTION :

There was a long standing demand to make Kachujore Rural Hat in bigger formation. In a rural hut, many essential commodities such as vegetables, fish etc are sold in one small market. So, it becomes easier to avail these foods for the villagers.

BACKGROUND :

There was a long standing demand to make kachujore Rural Hat in bigger formation. By the inspiration of Block Development Officer, Suri-I dev. Block, the construction of the Rural Hut was started.

PURPOSE :

Most of the villagers of this panchayt will get their daily needs such as food and vegetables etc in this small village market.

DESCRIPTION :

After inaguration of this Rural Hut near about 60 nos stalls have been opened from 7 am to 2 pm from every Monday to Friday.

BENIFIT :

Gram Panchayat own fund creation.

Both the sellers and buyers of villages benefited here.

FUTURE VISION :

The shed of the market is being used well in local festivels.

CONCLUSION :

Honble DM Madam Moumita Godara Basu, IAS has inaugurated the Hat on 17/10/2020. Now everyone is very happy with Rural hat.
