Sarpalehana Albandha Gram Panchayat is situated beside Kopai rever of Bolpur Sriniketan Block. There are ten Sansad, seventeen Moujas and thirty tthree villages in this Panchayat. Out of Thirty Three villages there are seventeen villages where maximum population are belongs to Schedule Tribe. They maintain their traditional culture in their habitation. As well as development works done there. Total Population of the Gram Panchayat is 12661 and Household is 3045.

INTRODUCTION :

Present era is non conventional energy system.So we are adpting the new system that is Solar energy.

BACKGROUND :

Present era is non conventional energy system. Solar power is a renewable energy source. So we are adpting the new system that is Solar energy.

PURPOSE :

Local areas will be lighted and people of those areas will go out from their houses during night. Also people will feel safe during night as there will always be lights during load sheding at night.

DESCRIPTION :

Installation of Solar street light at Kopai, Dharamtola and Mahisdhal from PBG-IBRD under sarpalehana-Albandha Gram Panchayat.

BENIFIT :

Dark Places are now Lighted by Solar Light and people of those areas are benefitted and they are happy. Places are becoming now safe at night as Solar lights have been installed.

FUTURE VISION :

As per the discussion with local people and according to their demand, gram panchayat will take initiative to install all the area of our GP. This will lighten the streets while Load Sheding at night.

CONCLUSION :

More solar lights at all places including power off grid in gp Premises will be installed next future,
